Gianna Tesone

Gianna Tesone’s work explores the body as both vessel and archive—a landscape where emotion, memory, and instinct converge. Through layered abstraction and a sculptural use of paint, her compositions evoke the material and psychological depths of lived experience. Saturated colors and gestural forms oscillate between presence and dissolution, suggesting both the fragility and resilience of the human condition.

Rooted in studies of anatomy, physiology, and natural design, Tesone’s practice unites intuition with inquiry. Each canvas becomes an extension of the body itself—responsive, expressive, and alive to touch. Her paintings inhabit the space between recognition and sensation, inviting viewers into an embodied encounter with movement, color, and form.

Tesone holds a BFA from Point Loma Nazarene University and has exhibited her work in museums, galleries, and interdisciplinary spaces across the United States. She has participated in international artist residencies and maintains an active practice of creative collaboration across disciplines. Alongside her studio work, Tesone is dedicated to arts advocacy and education, fostering dialogue and connection through shared creative practice.
